A.I

What are the dangers of the creation of artificial intelligence or models like David?

He might become Jealous of humans, moral questions in items of how their programmed to know right or wrong, take over the outliving the human popualtion, less jobs technology is doing it all for us,live longer??? Over population.

What are some of the positives of having artificial intelligence? Filling a void (human condition) help us to discover new things, live longer, discover cures through research?
They could help us with lots of things like day to day chores, and fill the void of other humans.

Steven Spielberg created a dark look at this subject... How could he have changed the film to be more positive?

He could have made the robots look more positive, he could have put them in a more positive light eg. he could have had them doing and saying and acting in more positive ways, kind of made them look better.

Can we trust computers as much as humans?
Well in the movie it shows that when the real son came home he manipulated the mecca (David) into doing bad things. Where David just wanted to do what he was told to do which was in reality the right things to do.

Can you envisage a time when we will be fused physically with technology? Is this already happening...how far do you think we can go before it raises moral questions?
I think it will be ohk when people have lost limbs or had to have organs replaced is ohk as a minority. But I think when people start to use technology for enhancement or to better themselves for whatever reason, that is to far.

Are we already 'transhumanists' in that we have technology extensions off our bodies?

I think we are as some people can't live without their blackberries or laptops.

What are some extensions that you think may be more common in the future?
I think the basics like phones, email, music and search engiens will be common.

Do you see this as a positive for human kind?
I think it is to a certain point because I think at some moment we need to go back to our tradtions.
